Reminders

Who Needs Reminders?

I hear it all the time.

I forgot why I walked into this room!

Every day.  Many times a day.  It’s nothing new.

In every season, we all need reminders.

In my last post, when I asked you if you’ve chosen Your Word for 2021, did you say to yourself,

Nah . . . I don’t stick to it, so why fool with choosing a word?

I’m thrilled to give you a solution!  Plan now to combat any future abandonment of your word.

It’s easy to join Lisa at Lisa Notes for her  One Word 2021 Community.  I thought maybe you’d like to join with me in Lisa’s community.  When you enroll, you’ll get a reminder or a  prompt each month – to keep accountable to your one word focus throughout 2021.

The One Word 2021 Community sounds perfect for those like me who need someone to tell us why we came into a room.  Thank you, Lisa!  🙂

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

This year started out strong with my Faithfulness and Favor for 2020 Focus, my chosen words for 2020.  As we went into seclusion (and then stayed there far longer than the original plan of two weeks), I sometimes lost sight of God’s favor and faithfulness.

I wrote Faithfulness Friday posts during the first half of 2020.  And, then my faithfulness posts waned.  All posts waned, actually.

Regular, monthly prompts to re-awaken me to God’s faithfulness and favor could have prevented my mid-year waning.  Would you like to keep your one word focus throughout 2021?

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

No more sitting down and trying to remember why you went into that room!

Don’t you think Lisa’s One Word 2021 Community is a great idea?  It should be a lot of fun to connect in that way.  Let me know in the comments below what you think about it.  I love reading your comments!  🙂

Because He lives~

Thanks for sharing about our group, Kim! And I definitely relate to walking into a room and forgetting why I came. ha. This morning I set the garbage can beside the bathtub so we could remember later to clean out the drain. 🙂 I like tangible reminders. I’m looking forward to our group and hearing how God is walking through our rooms with each of us!

Yes, I sometimes set a similar reminder, and then hubs unknowingly takes the reminder “back where it belongs”. So … all is forgotten. Ha! Hubs has become very good at tidying since I do less these days, and no complaint here. I like how you put that, Lisa … how God is walking through our rooms with each of us! Thank you for forming this group for all of us to enjoy. 🙂
