That’s a current questions, isn’t it? After most all of our plans for 2020 were debunked, what’s the use of making plans for 2021? Should we even buy a planner? I wondered about that, too.
As you know, I’ve had little to plan for these last three years – other than doctor visits. Cancer requires living in three-month increments. From scan to scan. Just when you settle into a routine, the next scan can totally change the schedule of things. I’ve kept a calendar, of course. A day planner, or rather, a weekly planner type. Nothing long-term.And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) Click To Tweet
When illness came, I stopped using planners for making intentional life plans. You know, the life-long type. These days I feel so healthy (thank the Lord!), why not plan? I intend to use my 2021 planner for short-range as well as long-range planning. For intentional living again. Hooray!
How many of us really know what’s next for us, especially in 2021? Everything is so unpredictable. Who will be President for the next four years, and will our republic nation survive as a democracy? So much is at stake here. Also, will we be shut down again?
How can we plan when only the Lord knows the plan?
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. (Psalm 32:8)
No matter what is happening in our world, country, or in life in general, everything is better when our focus is on Him and on growing our relationship with the Lord. He is with us in all our seasons! For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 Click To Tweet
With our recent move, our whole house was a wreck for a few weeks. Soon, I noticed a turn for the better in the unpacking process. With most boxes unpacked and gone (at least in the house, thanks to much help from family), I suddenly found time for sitting on our “new” porches. And enjoying them! With little thought of what needed to be done next, my mind relaxed. Ahh . . . time again for porch time Bible study.Perhaps you were born for such a time as this. Esther 4:14 Click To Tweet
With all that’s happening in our country, I’d yearned for more time with the Lord. How about you? It’s a luxury to find time to read and study the Bible at length. No more setting time limits to go and unpack more boxes. Another hooray.
I stumbled upon a new-to-me, unique planner.
Even before I was an affiliate, I wanted to share this planner with you because I’m so excited to get started. Um . . . can we start 2021 early?
Many people decorated for Christmas early, and that’s because we want 2020 to be over and done! My purpose in wanting to start 2021 early has nothing to do with getting 2020 behind us. It’s the excitement of beginning my new planner. I’m ready now! 🙂
When looking at the details of the Spiritual Seeds Planner* , I was drawn to the continual focus on the Fruit of the Spirit throughout the year.
Notice the prompts for each week and month to include your chosen Fruit of the Spirit as your focus. It keeps your focus where it should be, with regular reminders. (I need that!) The beautiful planner sprinkles the highlighted focus on through to daily actions, engaging deeper thought and reflection. It truly helps us to live it. y’all!
Another huge bonus are the blank pages throughout for making notes, usually too limited with other calendars/planners.
Not a sticker girl? That’s OK. Me, neither. No pressure with the stickers. Use your planner however you wish. It’s nice to have options, and some people really like stickers. 🙂
Choose between light pink, gray, and brown. Ha! You know I chose the pink, right? (Actually, it is called grapefruit.) As a tactile person, I love the feel of the soft leather – my favorite type of planner, book, or Bible covering. It is yummy!
The free downloads for How to Use the Spiritual Seeds Planner, Favorite Fruit Scripture (a full page for each of the Fruit of the Spirit), and others are so useful! You can print out what you need and try it out before ordering.
I do encourage you to seriously check it out and decide soon. Everything on the Spiritual Seeds Planner* site is 25% off right now. Such a bonus for Christmas gift-giving, too.
What do you think? Will you use a planner for 2021? I’d really like to know your plans.
Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow! I’m thankful for each of you. 🙂
Because He lives~
