“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:16
How we need our Christian sisters. Rather, I should say, how I need my Christian sisters! I appreciate very much all the prayers and support you give me here. It is such a blessing. YOU are such a blessing!
I have wished for more energy (and time), for ways to support you and encourage you in the tough seasons. And also for ways to support you in the healthy lifestyle journey we all need to take for caring for our temple in the way God desires.
Do you find it hard to stick to a healthy diet in today’s culture of fast food, instant meals, and (for some) daily eating out? Our quick foods are packed full of chemicals to give them shelf life and help maintain colors and certain flavors. The American diet is in decline, folks. If you don’t believe it, look around. In crowds, we’re surrounded by unhealthy, overweight sisters who are miserable and don’t know what to do about it. I was one of those women. Unfortunately, I’m a good example of illnesses that can happen if you don’t take care of yourself.
Do you wish you had some sisters who are honest and will tell you the truth in love? Sisters who support a healthy lifestyle and understand your choices for clean eating? Sisters who encourage you to get out of the chair and move your body? It can be accomplished in faith and sisterly fellowship – in praise to our Lord! And in His love.
Several years ago, I met a group of Christian women on Facebook who were doing Bible studies together and then the following year began reading through the Bible together. I had the privilege of writing weekly for them during that time. The reading plan was one that I’d never followed before. I loved reading straight through the Bible that year and have repeated the process several times on my own. If you followed me on my former blog, you may remember these women.
Due to a busy blogging schedule with my former blog, I sadly had to stop writing with and studying with this group of Godly, praying women. I’ve missed them so! We’ve kept in contact since that time, and recently they asked me to join a new group they started earlier in June. God is growing this group quickly. Many women are now following along for support and encouragement for better health. They are interested, as I am, in building their temples for God’s purposes – to be physically fit for all that God leads them to accomplish in life and in ministry.
The idea hit me soon after reading their continual uplifting posts for health.
I need to share this. Embracers (like you) would enjoy the fellowship with these women, as well as the encouragement in faith and fitness.
Am I right? I originally hoped to share recipes and health information more often than what has actually happened. This group offers a way for us all to share and gather together in faith and for health. God has answered a need that I could not.
Click here to join the Jubilee Journey – Faith – Fitness – Fellowship Facebook Group. It’s a closed group, so after you click the box on the page to join, I will check to see that you are on my email list and approve your request to join. And, then you’re all set to see recipes and tips, learn, share, and boldly step forward into or continue a life of health to God’s glory and with support from our Christian sisters. You will also be a source of love and support for others as you take part in the conversations there.
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
Not that we want to exclude anyone (by a closed group), but we should be responsible – careful to avoid those who might think off-color language and such would be acceptable. We want supportive women, those who will edify. I believe you all qualify, so that’s why we’ll accept you, my truth sisters, into the group. If this is you, click here to join this group of encouraging Christian women. 🙂
