    Hello, my Faithfulness Friday friends!  Have you ever considered the Book of Nahum to be a page-turner?  Most people probably wouldn’t think it all that riveting.  Although, some study reveals Nahum to be most interesting! In an effort to escape my usual ADD-ness and to finish what I started, I’m continuing from last week’s Faithfulness Friday focus (Which Side Are You On?)  where we studied Nahum, chapter one.  Onward now to complete The Book of Nahum. Remember from chapter one last week that God told Nahum that He was done with Nineveh.   Their doom was eminent.  God continued His description of what was ahead for them in the remaining two chapters…

  • Which Side Are You On?

    It’s Faithfulness Friday again!  Today we’re highlighting Nahum, chapter one. Nineveh, the capitol city of the Assyrian nation, turned from its sinful ways approximately one hundred years earlier when Jonah prophesied their destruction if they didn’t repent.  You probably know the story well from The Book of Jonah.  The people of Nineveh were spared from doom because they listened to the warnings of Jonah and turned from their wicked ways. Through the years, Nineveh became wicked again, and Nahum is here to prophesy their judgment.  This time, though, God is finished with warnings.  Assyrian doom is imminent.  We don’t know much about the prophet Nahum, but his name means “comfort”.…
